Finding Jobs & Funding
There are an increasing number of Canadians
working while living with complex chronic conditions and episodic disabilities.
This increase is partly a result of improvements in diagnosing and managing long-term
chronic conditions. That said, many people
with chronic diseases and disabilities face barriers to access employment or
lose their jobs due to their conditions and system issues. As a result, they
may lack enough income to meet their needs, as well as experience a variety of
problems, including decreased access to medications, benefits and insurance.
In this section you can find resources on
employment and the workplace, financial and government supports, employment law
and human rights, as well as employment programs and services.
